So there might be a bit less choice; as we expect things to quiet down during Christmas and New Year.

Recently, I reached the Platinum level on my IHG membership card. A very convenient perk that comes with it is 'early check-in' without additional costs. And a secondary perk is that they will upgrade your room, if an upgrade is available. I thought it was nice; personally when I have fun, I will book a hotel and stay there from the morning until the night. That has now come slightly cheaper and better to do.
Though one thing that still annoys the crap out of me, is that *almost* every hotel I've stayed in, has poor air conditioning; whether I put it on 10 degrees or 30 degrees, it never makes any difference.
Personally I hate warm rooms in the summer. Cold rooms, well, there is one fun way to get warm, :-)
Sorry; no further news. There still are two girls who hopefully will join, sooner or later; but I have no firm date yet.

/EDIT: Heard a rumor that many QQ girls have been arrested in the past few weeks; and they are stuck in jail for a month, instead of the usual 2 weeks. So be careful to the people who are meeting QQ girls.

Ritz is ok, stayed in Portman over the weekend and the temp is set at 24° but surprisingly it is warm enough to walk around in birthday suit
My pet peeve with Chinese hotels is that it takes forever to check out. In the states, you can just leave on the morning of your last day without notifying anyone. Just waltz out. That's it. But in China, when you want to check out, it's a tad chaotic. Even at 5 star hotels. And yeah, +1 on your point about the AC in the rooms. It barely works properly.

Always stay at Shangri La - tier status means I can check-in at 8am and check-out at 6pm the next day. Can also check-out using the app and just walk out. All great!
